they're both good games for what they're trying to do and i'd argue purely on a game standpoint Cuphead is the more polished, but BATIM leaves more of a lasting impression on me because of all the questions it raises. They're two seperate concepts using the same base to springboard off of. plus the ideas of life and death and abandoning your creations etc etc. i mean, actual Satan is in the game and he's a complete goon.īATIM, in my opinion, tackles the long-standing rumours of occultism in early cartoons (Walt Disney in particular is the target for those rumours) as well as the general uncanny feeling those cartoons sometimes left us with.
